Cryptic Masons
Prayer

God, let our thoughts turn to you often, especially in times of inner turmoil.
In Your name we pray, Amen.

Night Watches

My Companion,

We all travel through life in a very hurried pace.  Sometimes we can attend religious services, sometimes, we cannot.  However, we can always take a few minutes to thank God for allowing us to be here, and to serve our respective Grand Bodies.

Scripture Lesson
Read Psalm 63:2-8
Thought

I had the unfortunate habit of waking up around 3:00 o'clock every morning and then tossing and turning for an hour or two. During those times, I anticipated problems that never materialized. I fretted over old hurts that should have been forgiven and forgotten. I worried about concerns so insignificant that I could not recall them in the morning.

I found the solution to my problem in Psalm 63:6. If I was awake during the night, I could use the time of silence and the freedom from distraction to strengthen my relationship with God. My days had been so busy that I often overlooked or neglected my prayer life. I resolved that I would use my "night watches" to speak with God.

I no longer dread wakeful nights. They have become my quiet times with God.
Logos

I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
- Psalm 63:6
Closing

Time spent praying can replace time spent worrying.
May YHShVH Bless and Keep You,
